Hi Dale,I am so glad we were able to meet after your presentation at the NY Maker Faire this past Saturday. One of the most memorable parts of your speech involved the Girl with the Mysterious Backpack. It held dry ice, which produced a trail of smoke as she wondered around one of your Faires. But beyond that, few can discern the meaning of her project. Nonetheless, you made the point that makers also create things for themselves at a strictly personal level and that is perfectly all right. I couldn't agree more.In the coming years, I really hope and believe families can use 3D printing technology to make things by and for their own purposes. It might not make sense to anyone outside the immediate circle but that's completely fine and we should celebrate the creativity.See you at another future Maker Faire!
